AFP-WI Calls on Key Committee to Eliminate State Property Tax

MADISON, WI – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin today called upon members of the Joint Committee on Finance to approve Governor Walker’s proposal to eliminate the state levied property tax.  AFP-Wisconsin activated its base of over 130,000 activists to contact their lawmakers encouraging them to eliminate the state property tax this year.

“We call upon committee members to stand with Governor Walker and eliminate the state property tax once and for all,” said Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin State Director Eric Bott. “For too long, Wisconsinites have been suffering under one of the highest property tax burdens in the United States. It is past time for our elected officials to discard the state property tax to the ash heap of Wisconsin history where it belongs. Our activists will be watching closely to see which committee members have the courage to give Wisconsin taxpayers the relief they deserve and demand.”
