AFP-VA: Americans for Prosperity Names JC Hernandez New Virginia State Director

RICHMOND, VA – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Virginia (AFP-VA) named JC Hernandez as the new Virginia state director. JC previously served as Virginia deputy state director.

“I am honored that Americans for Prosperity has entrusted me with leading the organization’s efforts in the great state of Virginia. I do not take this responsibility lightly, and I am eager to build on past successes in pursuit of a better future for all Virginians,” said Hernandez. “Most importantly, I’d like to thank the activists who trust Americans for Prosperity to be their voice in their fight for lower taxes, less government regulation, and economic prosperity.”

JC Hernandez has been with the network since March of 2016. He served as the state director of the Generation Opportunity brand before moving to AFP-VA as deputy state director in January. JC has traveled extensively throughout the country assembling comprehensive grassroots and grass-tops programs for campaigns. As the director of coalitions for the Leadership Institute (LI), JC conducted training schools, workshops, and seminars in campaign management, coalition building, and grassroots lobbying. JC holds a Masters in Political Management from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. in political science from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He lives in Richmond, VA with his wife and two sons.
