Arlington, Va. — Americans for Prosperity is commending President Trump after he signed an executive order that directs the Office of Management and Budget to identify agencies or projects that are duplicative or inappropriate for the federal government to control, and submit a report to the White House.

AFP Vice President of External Affairs Chrissy Harbin issued this statement following the signing:

“After years of unchecked bureaucratic aggression under the Obama administration, an exhaustive project-by-project review is exactly what we need to right-size Washington, DC. It’s time to rein in out-of-control bureaucracy that gets a hand in nearly every aspect of Americans’ daily lives and make government more effective and accountable.

“We’re looking forward to working with the Office of Management and Budget, federal agencies in the Trump administration, and budget writers in Congress to identify areas where we can find efficiencies in federal agencies. That will include continuing to educate the public and activate our 3.2-million-strong grassroots force across the country.”
