AFP Testifies Against $6B Open Space CR (Video)

Jan 27, 2014 by AFP

AFP state director Daryn Iwicki testified before the Senate Energy and Environment Committee today against Bill SCR2, a proposed constitutional amendment which would dedicate up to $6B over 30 years for open space. Watch Daryn explain why SCR2 is a bad idea, while providing a blueprint on how NJ can better go about preserving open space!

SCR2 was moved by the committee 4-1 with aye votes from Chairman Bob Smith (D-17), Jim Whelan (D-02), Linda Greenstein (D-14) and Kip Bateman (R-16). The lone no vote came from Sen. Samuel Thompson (R-12).

The next step for SCR2 would be a vote before the full Senate. AFP will continue to monitor this wasteful proposal and alert activists when it comes up for a vote.
