AFP on Peters ‘Frugal’ Ad: Facts Tell Another Story

Sep 27, 2014 by AFP
Peters era in Congress has seen $7 trillion in new federal debt, says the group.

LANSING — Americans for Prosperity-Michigan leadership says a new ad by Gary Peters, titled ‘Frugal,’ belies the big spending he enables in Congress.

AFP-Michigan State Director Scott Hagerstrom released the following statement:

“Gary Peters says he’s as frugal as they come, but the facts tell another story. He has consistently supported reckless out-of-control spending that has led to more debt for our country and for Michigan. He’s also opposed efforts to balance the budget. Gary Peters needs to do more than just talk the talk when it comes to being fiscally responsible.”
