AFP-NH Hosts Filibuster Event with President Tim Phillips
SALEM, NH – Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) announced it is hosting an event on the filibuster tomorrow at the Border Brewery at 7:00 PM. The event will feature AFP President Tim Phillips and comes on the heels of a recent campaign urging Senator Hassan to uphold her commitment from 2017 to oppose attempts to eliminate the filibuster.
AFP President Tim Phillips issued the following statement:
“Our country faces a fork in the road. Senator Hassan has a tremendous opportunity to ensure our country doesn’t go down the path of eliminating the filibuster that would result in increasing the country’s already staggering levels of partisanship and division. I’m eager to talk with Granite Staters about the devastating consequences they would face if lawmakers eliminate the filibuster to make it easier to pack the Supreme Court or usher in a government takeover of health care. It is essential Senator Hassan stands up for Granite Staters and helps end attempts at this partisan power grab.”
