The article highlights the need for spending restraint on the state and federal level.  On the federal level, two pieces of legislation topped the list for fiscal restraint.  First, the Ryan – Murray budget boosted discretionary spending by $1 trillion dollars over the next two years and rolled back $45 billion in spending caps.  Second, the most recent farm bill will authorize $1 trillion in spending over the next decade.

On the state level, Americans for Prosperity – Missouri continues to highlight the need for Spending Caps to protect Missouri taxpayers from out of control spending and highlighted the need to local tax reform by launching their municipal project that educated Missourians on the over 260 proposed tax increases proposed by local taxing authorities.
