AFP-MO Congratulates Slate of Newly Elected Legislators

Nov 9, 2022 by AFP

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Americans for Prosperity-Missouri (AFP-MO) grassroots efforts helped elect seven endorsed candidates to the Missouri legislature. Each of these individuals will champion policies that break down barriers to success and improve the lives of Missourians.

Of these races, seven AFP MO-endorsed candidates won in highly competitive races across the state, including:

  • Curtis Trent (SD-20)
  • Mary Elizabeth Coleman (SD-22)
  • Bill Allen (HD-17)
  • Tony Lovasco (HD-64)
  • Adam Schwadron (HD-105)
  • Melanie Stinnett (HD-133)
  • Darin Chappell (HD-137)

AFP-MO leveraged the full weight of its grassroots activists, among other tactics, to urge voters to elect these strong community leaders. Throughout the election cycle, AFP-MO volunteers knocked on more than 17,000 doors support of endorsed candidates. The organization distributed nearly a half a million pieces of mail.

These leaders earned the endorsement of AFP-MO through their support for principled policy solutions that seek to increase opportunity across the Show Me State.

AFP-MO State Director Jeremy Cady issued the following statement:

“AFP-MO endorsed a diverse and dynamic group of individuals, many of whom were victorious on election night. By knocking thousands of doors, AFP-MO volunteers solidified this win for the Show Me State.

“We stand ready to work alongside these newly elected legislators to reform regulations, nurture a more competitive and prosperous economy, and create more educational opportunities for Missouri students. We look forward to working with these lawmakers in the new year and beyond and congratulate their campaigns on a hard-fought victory.”
