New ad holds Sen. Pryor accountable for his continued support of ObamaCare

Arlington, Va. — Today Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s foremost advocate for health care freedom, announced a new $540,000 ad buy holding Senator Mark Pryor accountable for his support of ObamaCare. The ads begin airing today statewide in Arkansas and will run for several weeks.

The new ad features the personal experience of Arkansas resident Jerry, who received a notice that his health care plan was being cancelled due to ObamaCare. Since then, he has heard reports that the Arkansas State Insurance Commissioner is granting a two-year extension to plans being cancelled under ObamaCare. However, Jerry hasn’t received anything to confirm the extension of his health care plan.

AFP President Tim Phillips said the following: “Instead of bringing Americans peace of mind about their health care, ObamaCare is wreaking havoc on Americans from all walks of life. Jerry’s story is not unique. Millions of Americans all across the country have been frustrated and let down by a law that was sold on a foundtaion of broken promises.

“It is disappointing that Senator Pryor has chosen — time and time again — to stand by a barely-functioning piece of legislation rather than people of Arkansas.”

AFP ran this ad last month, featuring the personal testimony of Jerry’s wife Wanda. Both perspectives are being used to demonstrate how ObamaCare is impacting families.

These ads a part of AFP’s ongoing efforts to hold politicians accountable for their support of ObamaCare, which include television, radio, and digital ads, as well as robust grassroots activism across the country.
