Representatives Peters and Braley held accountable for ObamaCare impact

Arlington, VA – Today Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s largest grassroots champion for health care freedom, announced the launch of a seven-figure ad effort holding two US Representatives accountable for their support of the President’s health care law.  TV, radio, and online ads will begin airing this week that put pressure on Representative Peters in Michigan and Representative Braley in Iowa.  The ads will run across Michigan and Iowa for the next three weeks.

The ads can be viewed here:

AFP President Tim Phillips said, “President Obama’s health care law is hurting hardworking families in Iowa and Michigan.  AFP is committed to a long-term effort to stop ObamaCare, which includes holding politicians accountable for breaking their promises and for supporting legislation that is leading to less choice, higher costs, and lost coverage for millions of Americans.”

President Obama’s promise that “If you like your plan, you can keep it” was rated as the Lie of the Year by Politifact, yet Democrat senators have continued to support Obama’s signature law.  AFP’s accountability message will run on cable and broadcast networks, and will be supported by radio and online ads as well as robust grassroots action throughout the states.

The ads in Michigan and Iowa are part of AFP’s ongoing effort to educate the public about the health care law.  AFP launched a multimillion dollar ad effort earlier this month that put pressure on US Senators in North Carolina, New Hampshire, and Louisiana.  Additionally, AFP rolled out a $650k ad campaign in Arizona last week holding two other US Representatives accountable for supporting ObamaCare.
