Representatives Kirkpatrick and Barber held accountable for ObamaCare Impact

Arlington, VA – Today Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s largest grassroots champion for health care freedom, announced the launch of a $650k ad effort holding two US Representatives accountable for their support of the President’s health care law. TV ads began airing yesterday that put pressure on Representatives Ann Kirkpatrick and Ron Barber. The ads will run in major media markets for the next three weeks.

AFP President Tim Phillips said, “AFP is committed to a long-term effort to stop Obamacare. We’ve made it clear that we will continue to hold politicians accountable for a law that is hurting millions of Americans by giving them broken promises, less choice, and less access to doctors.”

President Obama’s promise that “If you like your plan, you can keep it” was rated as the Lie of the Year by Politifact, yet these Democrat Representatives have continued to support Obama’s signature law. AFP’s accountability message will run on cable and broadcast networks, and will be supported by radio and online ads as well as robust grassroots action throughout the state.

AFP has spent over $20 million since August on a series of TV ads holding politicians accountable for their support of ObamaCare, and thanking others who have stood against the law.
