AFP-LA: Let Louisiana Bloom

BATON ROUGE, La. – Americans for Prosperity-Louisiana (AFP-LA) released the following statement applauding the House Agriculture Committee for advancing HB 561, which will repeal the onerous and wildly unnecessary occupational licensing requirement for florists.

“We’re very pleased that the House Agriculture Committee advanced HB 561 that would remove the license for florists,” said AFP-LA State Director John Kay. “There is no legitimate reason florists should have to get permission from the government to work. We hope the rest of the House will work swiftly to pass this bill and remove Louisiana from the list of states that license florists, which is a list made up of one.”
