FRANKFORT, KY—Americans for Prosperity-Kentucky (AFP-KY) today launched a paid media effort including direct mail and digital advertisements thanking Senator Mitch McConnell for being a constant advocate for free speech. Senator McConnell stood up against S.J. Res 64, which would effectively nullify recent improvements to Internal Revenue Service Rules that help protect personal information from being leaked improperly. AFP-KY is thankful for Sen. McConnell’s championing Americans’ right to freedom of expression.
AFP-KY State Director Andrew McNeill issued the following statement:
“Senator McConnell’s legacy is built on his consistent advocacy for free speech and protecting Kentuckians’ privacy. Our activists are proud of his efforts to promote our right of free speech and are encouraging Kentuckians to call and thank him for his courageous leadership on this issue.”
This week, Americans for Prosperity released a statement expressing disappointment from the passage of S.J. Res. 64 that Sen. McConnell opposed, a resolution that AFP key voted.
