On behalf of more than 3.2 million Americans for Prosperity activists in all 50 states, I urge a YES vote on the Senate Amendment to H. Con. Res. 71, the FY2018 Budget Resolution. Agreeing to this amendment will prepare the legislative vehicle needed to deliver pro-growth comprehensive tax reform.
We urge you to vote YES on the Senate Amendment to H. Con. Res. 71, the FY2018 Budget Resolution. Americans for Prosperity will include this vote in our congressional scorecard.
American taxpayers have waited 31 long years since the last time Congress delivered comprehensive tax relief. They don’t deserve to wait any longer. Acting swiftly to pass this budget resolution will clear a path for Congress to deliver this important legislation to the President’s desk before the end of the year. With time quickly running out and legislative days dwindling, each day of work dedicated to tax reform will be crucial.
Agreeing to identical budget resolutions is the important next step toward delivering a fairer, flatter, and simpler tax code that works better for everyday Americans. A vote against the budget resolution is a vote for the status quo and the status quo is unacceptable. Conservatives in Washington should not miss this once-in-a-generation opportunity.
