AFP Key Vote Alert: YES on Davis-Bacon FAA Amendment

Apr 26, 2018 by AFP

Dear Representatives:

On behalf of more than 3.2 million Americans for Prosperity activists in all 50 states, I urge a YES vote on Amendment #63 to H.R. 4, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018, which would prohibit funds being used to implement, administer, or enforce the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage mandate.

We urge you to vote YES on Amendment 63 to H.R. 4. Americans for Prosperity will include this vote in our congressional scorecard.

Davis-Bacon’s prevailing wage mandate is little more than a special interest handout for labor unions that raises taxpayers’ costs, kills jobs, and harms competition for public construction projects, without any added benefit for the American people.

Numerous studies have found that eliminating Davis-Bacon would save tens of billions taxpayer dollars, increase competition for businesses and add tens of thousand of jobs for workers, and allow more of our tax dollars to be spent on construction and repairs rather than on red tape and handouts.

We urge you to vote YES on Amendment #63 to H.R. 4, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018. Americans for Prosperity will include this vote in our congressional scorecard.

Visit our scorecard online at: www.afpscorecard.org.

Sincerely,
