Chartier committed to breaking barriers for every Hoosier

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Americans for Prosperity-Indiana (AFP-IN) today announced Michael Chartier as its new state director.

Chartier joins AFP-IN with an abundance of leadership and policy experience from his nearly eight-year tenure with EdCohice and aide to Governor Mitch Daniels. In his role at EdChoice, Chartier oversaw state engagement and helped lead the organization’s efforts on educational freedom across the nation.

An Indiana native, Chartier received his undergraduate degree in political science at George Washington University.

“I am excited and honored to have this opportunity to lead our state chapter’s efforts in breaking down barriers to help improve the lives of all Hoosiers. We have a great team here in Indiana and even during this public health crisis, our activists are continuing to engage with fellow Hoosiers and help their communities during these uncertain times,” said Chartier. “I’m thankful to our activists who are entrusting me to be their voice as we seek to build a brighter future for our state.”

AFP-IN advances policies that lower barriers to opportunity, including educational freedom, criminal justice reform, and expanding economic opportunity.
