Online video highlights President’s admission that Americans may lose their doctors

Arlington, Va. — Today Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s foremost advocate for health care freedom, released an online ad responding to President Obama’s recent admission that people may lose their doctors under ObamaCare, despite his repeated promises indicating otherwise.

During an interview on Friday with the medical website WebMD, the President finally conceded what millions of Americans already knew: “For the average person, many folks who don’t have health insurance initially, they’re going to have make some choices, and they might end up having to switch doctors.”

The short video, titled “The Obama Switch,” highlights the President’s repeated promises that Americans would be able to keep their health care plans and doctors under ObamaCare.

AFP President Tim Phillips said the following: “The American people deserve honesty, not more broken promises. Instead of bringing individuals and families peace of mind about their health care, ObamaCare has wreaked havoc on the lives of millions of Americans from all walks of life.

“As the bad news about the health care law continues to pile up, week after week, it’s clear that this legislation is not the solution that the President promised. President Obama needs to come clean with the country, and admit that ObamaCare is a bad deal for Americans.”

President Obama’s promise that “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it” was dubbed 2013’s “Lie of the Year” by Politifact.

This video is a continuation of AFP’s ongoing efforts to hold politicians accountable for supporting ObamaCare, which include television, radio, and online ads, as well as robust grassroots activism across the country.
