AFP-FL Hails Richard Corcoran Appointment to Lead Florida Department of Education

Tallahassee, FL – Americans for Prosperity-FL (AFP-FL), a leading grassroots voice for education freedom, was in attendance today at the confirmation of Richard Corcoran to head the Florida Department of Education.

AFP-FL Interim State Director Skylar Zander released the following statement:

His commitment to the success of Florida students make him an excellent choice to lead the Florida Department of Education.”

AFP-FL believes that a good education will help children build the knowledge and skills they need to apply their talents and passions towards leading successful and fulfilled lives. Florida’s teachers should also have the freedom to innovate in the classroom in order to best meet the needs of children and their families.
