AFP Continues Accountability Efforts with Nine-State, Seven-Figure Ad Buy

Sep 4, 2014 by AFP

Arlington, Va. – Today Americans for Prosperity announced the launch of a major seven-figure ad buy to hold nine US Senators and Representatives accountable for supporting harmful policies and failing to represent their constituents in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and West Virginia. The ads beginning running on digital platforms today and will continue for several weeks.

AFP President Tim Phillips released the following statement:

“When elected officials support bad policy, their constituents are the ones who pay the price. It is disappointing to see so many lawmakers around the country supporting the Obama Agenda, even at the expense of doing what is best for the families they were elected to represent.

“Our message to these representatives from Alaska to New Hampshire is this: start putting people before politics, and to rethink their support for harmful, short-sighted policies that are putting Americans’ health and prosperity at risk.”
