Tallahassee, FL – Americans for Prosperity-Florida (AFP-FL) state director Chris Hudson released the following statement immediately after tonight’s election results.

On the election of Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis:

“In electing Ron DeSantis as their next governor, the people of Florida made a wise choice. Governor-elect DeSantis has long been on the right side of issues like taxes, health care, and education, and they are just some of the reasons we look forward to partnering with him to ensure all Floridians can achieve their American Dream. There is still much we can do in Florida to make our state even better—eliminate corporate welfare, reform our broken criminal justice system, and improve our health care system, to name a few. We are uniquely positioned to promote and defend such commonsense policies through our energized grassroots army, and we look forward to working with the new governor to tackle these critical reforms immediately.”
