Denver, CO – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) – Colorado announced today the group will begin a five-figure accountability push in Douglas County supporting educational opportunity policies. The announcement comes days after the new board members were sworn into office. Recent reports indicated the school board would likely scrap the Choice Scholarship Program within the next two weeks during a special meeting.
“The new school board must put the needs of school children before any political belief,” said AFP-Colorado State Director Jesse Mallory. “Ending this program before it even has a chance to succeed and provide real change in our communities would be extremely shortsighted. If the board believes they should deny children more educational opportunities, AFP-Colorado will hold them accountable.”
