Tax Day was Tuesday and Americans for Prosperity made a strong flash protest appearance at the IRS office in downtown Tucson!
Joining AFP-Arizona was the Pima County Tea Party Patriots and Pima County Election Integrity (an affiliate of True the Vote).
Protesters held signs, waved flags and encouraged passing motorists to honk their horns in support of lower taxes and against IRS abuses.
The protest may have been put together at the last minute but over 30 citizen activists made time to exercise their First Amendment rights on a sunny spring afternoon.
Americans for Prosperity occasionally organizes rallies and protests like Tuesday’s Tax Day protest. If you’d like to receive notices of upcoming events please sign up for our email alerts.
As fun as it is to participate in the occasional protest, the best thing we can do is to focus our anger and frustration on grassroots action that makes a real impact. That’s why Americans for Prosperity is going door-to-door and doing phonebanks across the state. We are educating citizens about the dangers of Big Government programs such as ObamaCare and turning up the pressure on elected officials such as Reps. Ron Barber and Ann Kirkpatrick to fix the messes they’ve made.
To be successful, we need you to join our army of grassroots taxpayer activists, and we need you to go where the action is. Please help us at a neighborhood walk or a phonebank this week. Our Field Directors will feed you, train you and make you a part of the AFP family. Here are their names and contact info:
