ATLANTA — The Georgia chapter of Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s foremost grassroots advocate for economic freedom, is announcing new leadership today.
Michael Harden is a native of Toccoa, Georgia who served two historic terms in the legislature on behalf of an area of North Georgia that hadn’t seen conservative leadership in more than a century. He’ll bring varied policy expertise to the table, having served on committees including Transportation, Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, He also served as Vice Chairman of the House Banking Committee.
Harden had the following to say:
“I’m thrilled to be joining the greatest network of grassroots conservative leaders in the country, and I intend to grow the Georgia chapter into a powerful force for economic freedom — not just at the Gold Dome, but in counties and cities all over the state.
“I’m a lifelong Georgian raised by a single mother who taught me the meaning of hard work and the drive to ensure that our children have every opportunity achieve the American Dream.
Because of the effective conservative leadership of so many leaders across our state, Georgia is now the number one state in the country to do business. AFP-Georgia will rally conservatives across our great state to continue building on that success.
The 63,000 AFP activists across Georgia are ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work supporting bold conservative solutions so that everyone has the education and opportunity they deserve regardless of their background or zip code.”
