A Streetcar Named Disaster

A Streetcar Named Disaster

The City of Milwaukee is proposing a new streetcar that no one wants and could cause property taxes and utility costs to go up for everyone in the area. Not only will the streetcar cost tens of millions of dollars to build but tens of millions more will have to be spent to relocate utility lines in the area. This is a Streetcar Named Disaster and is not what Milwaukee needs. Federal money may be available but nothing is free, residents of Southeast Wisconsin will have to reach into their own wallets to pay for this boondoggle. Since they want you to pay for it, you should have a say!Sign our petition today to tell Mayor Barrett and the Milwaukee Common Council that you want the project stopped and a binding referendum on the ballot before any more money is wasted on this project.
