Sean Lansing, Deputy State Director
Originally from Racine, WI, Sean has spent time in Stoughton and Madison as well as Pennsylvania and Louisiana. In 2013, he began his work with Americans for Prosperity after serving as Press Secretary for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. As Deputy State Director, Sean handles communications for AFP-Wisconsin and works with the state Legislature and activists across Wisconsin on advancing the principles of economic freedom in the Badger State.
Sean began his career in politics as an unpaid intern in the Wisconsin State Assembly. He served as an intern while earning a degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin.
Upon graduation, Sean worked for Assembly Speaker Mike Huebsch. After serving Speaker Huebsch, Sean worked on a number of local and statewide campaigns, eventually returning to the State Assembly to serve as Communications Director for Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder.
In addition, Sean served as Communications Director for Eric Hovde’s U.S. Senate Campaign and for the nonpartisan MacIver Institute before relocating to Louisiana and working for the Jindal Administration.
Sean returned home to Wisconsin in September of 2013 to begin work with Americans for Prosperity.
