Janesville to President Obama: Where are the jobs?

JANESVILLE – Yesterday, Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s leading advocate for economic freedom, continued its tour across the Dairy State, stopping in Janesville, Wisconsin, the home of closed General Motors factory where over 2,700 jobs were lost or moved elsewhere.

The photo serves as stark contrast to President Obama’s assertion that “The private sector is doing fine,” – literally and figuratively.

Back in 2008, standing in the GM plant, President Obama said, “I believe that if our government is there to support you, this plant will be here for another 100 years.” It turns out however, that was just another one of Obama’s broken promises.

Friday the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 368,000 people stopped looking for work last month, that’s not hope, that’s despair,” said Luke Hilgemann, AFP-Wisconsin State Director. “Despite this, President Obama continues to push failed policies that are literally bankrupting America. Look no further than the dilapidated GM plant that can’t afford to re-open.

Where’s the recovery, where’s the prosperity, where’s the hope? Let me be clear, the private sector is not doing fine,” continued Hilgemann.

AFP Wisconsin will be in Green Bay today at Lambeau Field educating Wisconsinites on the most harmful aspects of President Obama’s big-government agenda, and help put grassroots pressure on politicians to turn away from these destructive policies. Learn more at FailingAgenda.com.
