AFP-Wisconsin: Statement on Delay to BadgerCare Shift
MADISON — Americans For Prosperity-Wisconsin State Director David Fladeboe issued the following statement Wednesday after the Wisconsin State Assembly voted to delay by three months the shift of BadgerCare enrollees to the federally administered health care exchanges:
“The sad truth is that by completely whiffing on the design and implementation of his signature policy achievement, President Obama is forcing the hand of Wisconsin legislators who are doing everything they can to insure that residents of the Badger State have access to health care.
“The planning, design and technology behind ObamaCare are all hopelessly flawed. As a result, a majority of the Legislature voted today to do the right thing and provide Wisconsin citizens with more time to prepare for the oncoming health care train wreck.
“With any luck, Wisconsin’s three-month delay will buy Wisconsinites enough time for the federal government to do the right thing: scrap President Obama’s trillion-dollar health care disaster so that we can start from scratch with market-driven health care reform that lowers costs and puts patients first.”
