AFP-WISCONSIN RESPONSE TO THE STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS

January 16, 2013

Madison… Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin State Director Luke Hilgemann released the following statement following Governor Walker’s State of the State Address.

“Wisconsin is in a strong position to build on the successes of the last two years,” said Hilgemann.  “Bold choices and courageous leaders have made our state an example for the rest of the country.  We need to continue these strong reforms that allow our economy to grow and thrive.

“I was pleased to see Governor Walker call for mining reform, a middle class tax cut and expansion of school choice.  These are all vital to the future of Wisconsin.  The 125,000 activist members AFP-Wisconsin look forward to working with the Governor and the Legislature to pass them.

“We look forward to hearing more details of these plans and seeing the specific legislation to write them into law.  As long as our leaders focus on the principles of economic freedom, limited government and lower taxes, Wisconsin will continue to prosper.”
