Iron Mining Reform Bill Passes Senate
Assembly needs to act quickly to pass important jobs legislation

MADISON — Last night, the State Senate passes the Iron Mining Reform Bill. Americans for Prosperity- Wisconsin State Director Luke Hilgemann released the following statement on passage.

“Opportunities like this don’t come along very often. $1.5 billion in private investment and thousands of jobs statewide are in the future for Wisconsin and it won’t cost taxpayers a dime. This bill simply creates certainty in our permitting process and gives us a chance to bring environmentally responsible iron mining back to Wisconsin. AFP and our 125,000 activists encourage the State Assembly to act as soon as possible to pass this bill.”
