Statement from AFP-Wisconsin State Director Matt Seaholm in regards to the Absentee Ballot Application Typo
“Americans for Prosperity recently sent to our members letters for absentee ballot applications. The date on the ballot application was meant solely for the elections held on August 16th. Due to a mistake during printing, all applications were sent out with the August 11th date.
Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin did not intend to print the incorrect absentee deadline or confuse voters in any way. Our goal was to provide voters with the opportunity to vote by way of absentee and to increase voter turnout in these important recall elections. AFP-Wisconsin is directly addressing this mistake by sending out a call to each and every individual on the mailing list to clarify the date of the elections.
I encourage all Wisconsin citizens to make their voices heard and vote in the State Senate Recall elections. It is their government, and they have a stake in it.
