David Fladeboe, Wisconsin State Director
Originally from Minnesota, David moved to Wisconsin in 2000 and began his work fighting for the principles of economic freedom and limited government. In 2012, he began his work with Americans for Prosperity following his work in the Wisconsin State Legislature. As State Director, David works with the grassroots, Legislature and the media to advance the ideals of hundreds of thousands of freedom loving Wisconsinites.
He began his career in politics as an unpaid intern in the Wisconsin State Senate. This work help solidify the conservative principles that would guide his future work. After college, he left the world of politics for a stint at Oscar Meyer in Madison as a Production Supervisor. Working in the private sector gave David a real world understanding of the policies and principles that he helped implement in the Legislature. Eventually returning to public service, he would eventually rise to the position of Policy Director for Majority Leader Scott Suder.
One of the defining moments of his career was working in the Legislature during the passage of Act 10 in 2011. Living through the siege of the Capitol, David worked with the leadership team to navigate the groundbreaking law into statute. Additionally, his policy areas included education reform, sporting issues and labor relations.
David began his work at AFP as Communications and Policy Director for the Wisconsin chapter. Later he was promoted to Deputy State Director and in August 2013 was named State Director. He now travels the state educating the public and grassroots on the importance of the principles of economic freedom, limited government and lower taxes.
