MILWAUKEE — Americans For Prosperity-Wisconsin State Director David Fladeboe issued the following statement Friday in advance of Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ visit to Milwaukee with County Executive Chris Abele to promote President Obama’s failed healthcare law:
“Not even 24 hours after President Obama issued a stunning mea culpa where he admitted that his trillion-dollar health care train wreck has been an abject failure, his administration is trotting out Secretary Sebelius in a sad attempt to put lipstick on this pig.
“In addition to delaying the implementation of ObamaCare for big business and the well-connected, President Obama has now told folks that if they like their plan, they can actually keep it—but only for one year. All this begs the question—what is Secretary Sebelius doing here?
“Less than 900 Wisconsinites—and reportedly only four at the site of today’s event—have signed up for ObamaCare to date, and for good reason. Folks across the Badger State are sending a strong message to President Obama that a one-size-fits-all health care plan that offers inferior coverage at a higher cost is not the answer.
“The President, the Secretary and the County Executive would do well to listen to the people of Wisconsin and support free market, patient-first health care reform that is affordable and sustainable.”
