AFP-WI APPLAUDS HISTORIC TAX REFORM
$650 million tax cut is included in the budget plan approved by the Joint Finance Committee.
MADISON — Luke Hilgemann, Americans for Prosperity – Wisconsin State Director, responded to the Joint Finance Committee action with the following statement:
“Wisconsin can be proud that the legislature passed one of the largest income tax cuts in state history. The tax cut and reform plan authored by Rep. Kooyenga remained largely intact and puts Wisconsin on the path to prosperity. I want to thank all of our activists that made calls and sent e-mails to their elected officials; this wouldn’t have been possible without them.”
“This budget isn’t perfect but it is a bold step forward for the people of Wisconsin. A sizable tax cut, expansion of school choice and entitlement reform are just a couple of the victories for the Dairy State. While our neighbors are saddled with debt and tax increases, Wisconsin continues to lead the way.”
