New AFP Ad: Rahall Let Coal Families Down
Christina Underwood Shares Story of How the War on Coal Destroyed her Husband’s Jobs
BECKLEY – A new Americans for Prosperity ad tells the story of Christina Underwood’s husband, who has lost three jobs in the past four years due to company layoffs resulting from regulations on coal. Ms. Underwood holds Representative Rahall accountable for his complacency in the EPA’s destructive war on coal.
“Christina Nebo is absolutely correct when she said that Nick Rahall let coal mining families down by not standing up to President Obama and his EPA,” explained Wendy McCuskey, West Virginia State Director of Americans for Prosperity. “Christina’s husband is one among the thousands of coal miners in West Virginia who have lost their job due to Washington’s relentless war on coal. Why is Representative Rahall refusing to stand up for his own constituents?”
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce found that the EPA’s latest round of regulations could destroy nearly 60,000 jobs in the region.
