Tracy Henke

Tracy Henke is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFPF). A true patriot, Tracy is proud to serve organizations of more than 1.9 million members that are fighting for economic freedom through education and mobilization of citizens across America.

Tracy brings a wealth of government and private sector experience to AFP/AFPF. She served 2 years for Senator Jack Danforth and 7 years for Senator Kit Bond in the U. S. Senate. She was then asked by the Bush Administration to serve in the Department of Justice under Attorney General John Ashcroft where she served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Acting Assistant Attorney General over the Office of Justice Programs as well as a Deputy Associate Attorney General for the Department. Tracy was also nominated and appointed to serve as the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Grants and Training at the Department of Homeland Security. In the private sector, Tracy has had her own consulting business, served as a Principal in the The Ashcroft Group, LLC, and currently is part owner in two separate businesses in Missouri.

As a result of her government and private sector experience, Tracy is a strong advocate for economic freedom—smaller government and less government spending and regulations, strong monetary policy, free trade, and the fair application of the law—knowing that economic freedom has a direct correlation to quality of life. In addition, Tracy brings her talents in strategic planning, management, and communications to AFP/AFPF.

In her spare time, Tracy spends time with family and friends, volunteering at Carpenter’s Shelter in Alexandria, and mentoring young professional women. She still calls Missouri home.
