AFP-Texas Applauds U.S. Senate Candidate Tom Leppert

-Signs Defending the American Dream Pledge-

AUSTIN— – The Texas chapter of the free market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP-TX) today applauded U.S. Senate Candidate Tom Leppert for signing the group’s Defending the American Dream Pledge. By signing AFP’s Defending the American Dream Pledge, Leppert has promised to Texas citizens that he will support responsible government, fiscal discipline, and share the belief that the most important decisions about our state’s future should be decided by the citizens themselves.

“Our government needs an injection of common sense,” said Peggy Venable, AFP-Texas State Director. “I applaud Tom Leppert for taking an important pledge of common sense Washington so desperately needs. It’s time elected officials, candidates, and our leaders promote economic freedom and less government interference so that Texans and the American people can grow our economy.”

The pledge is available online by clicking here. Americans for Prosperity does not support or oppose candidates for public office. All elected officials and candidates are encouraged to sign the pledge and go on the record in support of these three taxpayer protections.

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is a nationwide organization of citizen-leaders committed to advancing every individual’s right to economic freedom and opportunity.
