General Greg Abbott Plans to Fight Obamacare, Enroll America Types
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott today said he would join in fighting the Administration in their shady relationships with groups like Enroll America.
Fighting the Obama Administration has become “Job One” for Gen. Abbott as he has sued this Administration 25 times in efforts to stop encroachment on state rights and individual liberties.
Gen. Abbott said today that Obamacare was the wrong prescription for America’s health care. Gen. Abbott spoke at Texas Mailhouse, Inc., a small business in Austin to address how the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) impacts business.
Gen. Abbott said that a “cozy relationship” between the Obama Administration and the insurance industry is resulting in them “sticking it to the little guy”. He said that Health and Human Services Director Kathleen Sebelius is traveling the country trying to “sell Obamacare” and that would not be necessary if it were popular. Instead, Obamacare will increase the cost and threaten access to health care for most Americans.
When addressing the efforts of insurance companies creating Enroll America as a non-profit designed to enrich their bottom line, Gen. Abbott said that dubious means were being used to push Obamacare. Gen. Abbott said he would join in fighting the Administration and Secy Sebelius in their shady relationships with groups like Enroll America.
Several business owners spoke and said that premiums are skyrocketing and how government intervention into their healthcare has forced business to cut employees’ hours, and to hire fewer employees.
