AFP Scorecard: How does your lawmaker score?

February 20, 2013 J

Americans for Prosperity is the nation’s leading grassroots organization advocating for economic freedom. A critical component of that advocacy is holding members of Congress accountable for their voting record.

AFP’s federal legislative scorecard highlights the most important economic votes held every congress in both the Senate and the House. In addition to votes on key pieces of legislation, AFP also includes our No Climate Tax pledge in our scorecard. The pledge simply states that a member of Congress agrees to “oppose any legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.” No matter what our elected officials’ positions are on climate change, we should all be able to agree that it should not be used as a guise to grow government. A full list of No Climate Tax pledge signers is available online here .
