October 2 is a significant historical date for Texans. In 1835, Texian settlers told Mexican army troopers “Come and Take It” marking the start of the Texas revolution.
Take what! A cannon had been given by the Mexican government for settlers to use as protection against Indians but with unrest in the Texian settlements, Mexican President Santa Anna wanted the cannon returned. Texas settlers had one response “Come and take it!”
That same spirit is alive and well in Texas today. As the federal government melts down, Texans are proud to say no to federal government encroaching on our freedom and liberty.
If you agree that the so-called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is a federal government overreach. If you agree that Congress and big companies should not be exempted while we are forced to live under the law, demand that you too be exempted. Go to www.JustExempt.Me and demand that we be treated at least as well as Congress.
Want to take my health care? Come and take it!
