Garland ISD to Televise Board Meetings

July 10, 2013

We want to recognize Garland ISD for taking great strides in improving transparency! Garland ISD has announced that they will begin to televise their board meetings and posting them online as well.

Our lives are busy enough with work and family, let alone trying to keep a pulse on what is going on in our kids’ schools. How great is it that these Garland ISD parents and taxpayers can watch the school board meetings on their own time or in the comfort of their own home?

Kudos to Garland ISD!

Ausitn ISD, Irving ISD, Chapel Hill ISD, and Ft. Worth ISD also record their board meetings.  We suggest you check with your school board to see if their board meetings are televised and/or posted online.  The only way to know what is going on in our schools is by staying informed and by staying vigilant!
