Research done by the Perryman Group shows lawsuit abuse is costing Tennessee over $16 billion dollars. Small-businesses and entrepreneurs could be investing in our local economy, expanding their businesses and creating jobs to the tune of $16.2 billion if it werent for the skyrocketing cost of health care insurance (driven in part by incredibly high malpractice insurance costs that are passed on consumers) and the increasing cost of goods and services.

Recent polling by the Tennessee Center for Policy Research indicates an overwhelming majority supports serious tort reform. By a wide margin of 58-26%, Tennesseans want medical malpractice reform and many support other reforms as well.
