DHF LH4 300x58 Tell Gov. Haslam and the Legislature: Do Not Implement ObamaCare in Tennessee

The Supreme Court upheld the President’s health care law and its individual mandate, but the fight for health care freedom is not over.  In Tennessee, Governor Haslam and legislators must now decide whether the state will move forward with implementing bureaucratic directives from Washington, D.C. imposed by creating a health care exchange. Under the ObamaCare, there is no choice between state or federal control of the health care exchange. Only federally controlled exchanges exist.

Exchanges should be simple, transparent and innovative ways for consumers to compare and purchase health insurance.  Unfortunately, the exchanges as created by the President’s health care law are far from simple, transparent or innovative. These exchanges are built on hundreds of pages of rules, regulations and mandates that have not yet been written, all coming from bureaucrats at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington.  All decisions in Tennessee must comply with these numerous regulations and receive a stamp of approval from Secretary Sebelius.
