Americans for Prosperity Announces New South Dakota Chapter
SIOUX FALLS — Americans for Prosperity is launching a new chapter in its network. Today marks the beginning of our South Dakota state operations.
Ben Lee, the AFP-South Dakota State Director, has lived in South Dakota for 21 years and has a background in television news reporting, higher education fundraising and administration, and as a member of the state staff for U.S. Senator John Thune.
Lee had the following to say:
“It is a great honor to be joining the best network of grassroots conservative leaders in the country. I look forward to working hard with our activists to grow the South Dakota chapter into a powerful force in economic freedom. I am anxious to make AFP feel at home in this great state.
I tried to stay out of politics and government for much of my life, but after years of enduring the Obama administration, I woke up one day and realized that I couldn’t count on other people to create the kind of America that I want.
The chance to represent AFP in South Dakota allows me to take my involvement to the next level, to get involved in a state that I care about and where I have chosen to raise my family. I look forward to strategizing policy objectives and engaging like-minded activists to help move South Dakota even closer to being a free-market state.”
Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips also said the following:
“Under the leadership of Ben Lee, the South Dakota chapter of Americans for Prosperity will be in capable hands. We look forward to taking another step forward in advancing economic freedom.”
