A Victory for Voting on the Record
Today, South Carolinians who have been fighting for Roll-Call Voting (voting on the record) achieved a major success! The Senate passed the version of H.3004, which calls for the Bill to become law, upon the signature of the Governor. It passed on the second reading with a vote of 35 to 7. There will be a third reading of the bill, which normally passes with no obstacles. Then, the bill goes to the House for concurrence. No obstacles are expected in the House. The final step will be when Governor Haley signs the Bill into Law.
