Senate Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on School Choice

September 21, 2013

This coming Thursday, a special Senate Subcommittee will hold a hearing to determine public support for school choice in South Carolina. Earlier this year, the Senate determined to put off voting on comprehensive school choice legislation until they had the opportunity to determine public support for parental choice in education. A special subcommittee was appointed to gauge that support through a series of public hearings. This Thursday’s hearing is one of those!

If you believe parents should have the opportunity to put their child in the right classroom, then join us at 1:00 PM in Room 105 of the Gressette Building on the Statehouse grounds, and let your voice be heard. Your willingness to speak out could make the difference in expanding school choice options in the Palmetto State.

Dr. Matt Ladner,¬†Senior Fellow for the Center of Education at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, will be sharing his findings on school choice with the Subcommittee. You won’t want to miss this!
