Governor Can Do a Better Job Protecting Taxpayers from Obamacare than Picking Winning Candidates
Harrisburg – Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania, the state’s largest grassroots conservative organization, is calling on Governor Tom Corbett to focus on helping taxpayers by taking a stand against Obamacare state-implemented exchanges.
“Yesterday’s election shows the Governor’s efforts would be best spent helping taxpayers and not endorsing candidates,” said Pennsylvania State Director Jennifer Stefano. “Tom Corbett was not elected governor to tell people how to vote. He was elected to lead.”
Stefano continued, “The governor’s plan to implement Obamacare exchanges will devastate small businesses, working families and taxpayers across the Commonwealth. This is not what he was elected to do. It’s time for our state legislators to stand strong and say no to the Governor’s bad idea.”
Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania is hosting a breakfast on May 2nd in Harrisburg to help educate elected officials on the dangers of state-implemented exchanges. The grassroots organization invited the Governor, the Insurance Commissioner, the entire General Assembly and key business groups from across the state. AFP-PA today sent an action alert asking their activists to contact their elected officials and ask them to attend the breakfast.
