The 2012 "Farm Bill", which isn't a Farm Bill, Won't Come to a Vote
Good news: House leadership is not going to bring the 2012 Farm Bill to the floor before Congress leaves for recess next week. Current farm law will be allowed to expire Sept. 30, as scheduled. In place of the current 2008 farm law, agricultural law that dates from the 1930s and 1940s, known as “permanent law,” will go into effect.
