Ready to pay for more gasoline?

November 26, 2013

Are you paying enough for gasoline?!  Apparently too many members of the PA legislature didn’t think you were.  This week they passed a $2 billion transportation tax increase on Pennsylvanians.

to see how your member voted!

Support of this bill is a direct assault on the working families of Pennsylvania who will now pay more every time they fill up their tank.

By refusing to address the true cost drivers for transportation, especially the unfair and burdensome Prevailing Wage, the lawmakers who supported this tax increase are shirking their duty to find responsible reforms. They are taking the easy way out by pilfering more money from hard working men and women in our Commonwealth.

I encourage you to see how your member voted
HERE and contact them today to let them know how their vote will impact your family!

Sometimes we forget to thank those who take a strong stand and vote with us, especially when we ultimately lose the vote.  I encourage you to take time to call a legislator on this list and thank them for voting against this bill.  Whatever the reason for their vote, they did the right thing and deserve recognition for that.  If your Senator or Representative is on this list, thank them.  If not, call a neighboring legislator on this list and as an AFP Activist, thank them for their stance.
