Lame Duck: Visit Your Congressman with AFP
This week local activists from Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania will visit the offices of Representatives Charley Dent, Pat Meehan, Todd Platts, and Bill Shuster to urge them to vote against tax hikes and for spending reductions in the lame duck session. Activists plan to visit the local district offices of the legislators in Allentown, Hollidaysburg, Springfield, and York.
“Our Pennsylvania activists have a simple message for Representatives Dent, Meehan, Platts and Shuster: cut spending, don’t raise taxes,” said Jennifer Stefano, AFP-PA’s state director. “Our office visits are just one more way we are leveraging our strongest resource – our grassroots army – to push back against any tax hikes and support spending reductions.”
One reason lame duck sessions are so popular among legislators is because they think constituents are not watching how they vote. There are over 2.1 million AFP activists in all 50 states, with over 120,000 in PA alone, and they are committed to responsible government. They will be watching to see how Congress acts during the lame duck session. Below is the schedule of Congressional office visit locations and times.
