Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania hosted a gathering of activists and business leaders to offer an alternative message to President Obama's Jobs (killing) Bill speech in Scranton on Wednesday.

The Prevailing Wage Act of 1961 requires workers on public projects costing more than $25,000 to be paid the prevailing wage in their region. If these bills are passed they will force this artificially low project cost to conform to the Consumer Price Index of the previous calendar year and they would bring the prevailing wage in line with going market wages.
